The Sharkettes qualified for the 2015 finals in the Queensland Women's Football Association, and ultimately came third. A year later they endured a somewhat tougher time and ended up seventh out of thirteen teams. Finally, in 2017, competing in Division One of the QWFA they broke through to claim a premiership. Third after the qualifying rounds they overcame Yeronga South Brisbane by 46 points in the qualifying final, Aspley Hornets in the second semi final by 11 points, and, in the grand final, the Hornets once with scores of 6.4 (40) to 5.6 (36).
In 2018 the Sharkettes lined up in the top tier Queensland Women's Australian Football League in which they gave a good account of them, winning 6 out 14 home and away matches to finish fifth, behind fourth placed finalist Coolangatta Tweed only on percentage.
